Statement
My
work is influenced by simple shapes found in nature and everyday
items, I work mainly in silver and enjoy producing the hammered wire
finish found in many of my designs.
I started to make
jewellery about 20 years ago producing simple bead designs but have
gradually progressed through to studying silversmithing and now
sometimes combine the two in designs. Jewellery design and making is
a passion and I hope to continue to learn and develop my skills in
years to come.
I studied for three years at Calderdale College
gaining City and Guilds and NCFE qualifications, and have continued
to develop my skills through incorporating other mediums and teaching
others.
